Hans van Dam

Hans van Dam is co-founder and CEO of Conversation Design Institute, the world's leading training and certification institute for conversational AI professionals. He began his career as a copywriter for science and technology companies, became a chatbot designer in 2014, and co-founded CDI in 2018 to establish the methods, standards, and skillsets the industry was missing.

Hans is the creator of the CDI Method and CDI Standards Framework — a systematic approach to designing and scaling AI assistants that is now used by enterprises including Walmart, JP Morgan, Google, and ABN AMRO. He is also the originator of Conversational Capital and Agentic Experience Design, CDI's strategic frameworks for helping organizations build trust and relationship value through AI-powered conversations at scale. He hosts the Unprompted podcast and delivered the world's first TED Talk written by ChatGPT.
